A simple sun graphic served as the foundation for the design, giving us the opportunity to explore how it could be translated into embroidery.
A basic embroidery version shows how the sun would look if all the stitches were the same.
We enhanced the design by creating a color gradient in the sun and using a different stitch type for the rays to create depth, texture, and a more visually striking design.
We replaced the sun rays with yet a different stitch pattern, which added new thread colors.
